More about Romansbaai Beach & Fynbos Estate

Set in a 220ha private estate of breathtaking scenery, the northern orientation makes Romansbaai Beach and Fynbos estate wind free in summer and invitingly warm in the winter months. An idyllic location for both primary and holiday homes alike.

Romansbaai is believed to be the last north-facing development on South Africa’s most charming coastline. An eco-estate powered by nature’s elements, built upon state of the art architectural guidelines and the migration point of the Southern Right Whale. She’s known for her cerulean sea, star-studded skies and spectacular sunsets.

Few places on earth can take you closer to your natural habitat than Romansbaai. In fact you’re so close you can hear the sound of the Southern Right whales spouting water in the ocean, sleep with a canopy of stars above you and you can reach and touch the Fynbos.

Live in a home where you always have the crash of the sea at your feet, where the whales are your friends and there’s hardly a breath of wind, where the stars are clearer than anywhere else in South Africa. The charm of Romansbaai is that it is secluded but offers you a lifestyle filled with energy and vitality in touch with nature’s footprint. Romansbaai and her surrounding areas is home to the marine big five, and offers activities from snorkeling, whale watching and shark cage diving. Gaansbaai is the world’s most famous spot for the Great White shark.

Romansbaai offers access to coastal walking trails through indigenous Fynbos and meandering trails that take you through Strandloper middens and ancient history. Surrounded by an abundance of milkwood and natural fynbos, Romansbaai is a stone's throw away from the world's richest floral kingdom.
