I started coaching rugby in 2014 and athletics in 2015 and have been blessed to coach with and assist some great coaches like Dr Suzanne Ferreira, Dr Wilbur Kraak, Beau Schoeman and Thinus Pienaar. These coaches have been instrumental in my coaching growth, and I have seen and learned a lot from them and have applied most, if not all, of what I’ve been taught. I have coached rugby players from the age of 6 up to the age of 42, and athletics from the age of 6 to the age of 30. This has broadened my understanding of coaching and the different needs different athletes at different ages have. Within the space of 4 years I have learned a great deal of coaching and I still learn every day, by reading books, studying, coaching and spending time with my mentors, asking questions and drawing from their years of experience.

I understand that there are specific ways to coach, and other ways not to coach. I understand that there are different ways to coach different people, groups, and sports. I understand that different environments require different coaching techniques. I understand that there are many sport coaches in every walk of life, and that the influence a coach has on an athlete’s life can be life defining for the athlete.

Knowing this I decided to start my own business, with the main goal being the growth, improvement and success of those willing to improve.

This is my businesses Facebook Page, where I will be posting coaching tips and advice for coaches to keep improving, and sharing lessons from some of the great coaches and leaders, as well as lessons I've learned as a coach, to help those willing to improve. My aim is to post one tip, piece of advice or lesson each weekday.
I will be posting times and dates of upcoming courses presented by the business as well.
