My passion for retouching was sparked by one day looking @ a pro overseas retouchers page. In the beginning, as with most things, I was taking it slow through a lot of trial and error.Often times just sitting with one photo practicing for a few hours in photoshop. My results were subpar but I kept trying, practicing and slowly @ a snails pace improving.Beautiful, believable skin is one of the tell tale signs of a good retoucher. It takes time and practice to train your eye and your hands. Learning when to stop is as critical as learning all the techniques available to you. What we don’t want is plastic-y, rubberized skin that looks “photo-shpped”.
The art of a good retouch is to let the image look as realistic as possible so skin pores can still be seen clearly!
