Xilembeni Halfway House

Xilembeni Halfway House (XHH) is an NPO-011-718 incorporated in September 2013. XHH serves as a post recovery referral centre that provides shelter and skills development for parolees, rehabilitated drug and substance abusers, preparing them for reintegration back to their families and communities.

XHH is born to be the podium that drives and complements the Department of Social Development, Department of Correctional Service, SANCA and NICRO and Rehabilitation Centres to increase the capacity to implement aftercare when rehabilitated drug abusers exit from their formal treatment programmes.

The aim is to monitor compliance of outpatient treatment services to minimize re-lapse of rehabilitated drug abusers and re-offending of parolees, to transfer knowledge and skills for workplace readiness and enhance entrepreneurship through providing accredited vocational skills development and Life skills programme.

Xilembeni Halfway House in partnership with Nomasojabula Training Centre (NTC) has met SAQA standards and is recognized by the various SETAS, ETQA, Our Primary Accreditation is ETDP SETA (7966) and extension of scope with CETA, QCTO, MICT SETA, UMALUSI, FP&M SETA, LG SETA, EWSETA, AGRISETA and SERVICE SETA in different Qualification and skills Programs.
