RETURNAfrica offers a collection of unique experiences in South Africa’s two most iconic destinations: Cape Town and Kruger.

Our origins lie in the wild and spectacular north of the Kruger National Park where our portfolio includes Pafuri Luxury Tented Camp, Pafuri Walking Trails and Baobab Hill Bush House. The Makuleke Concession is as wild as it is varied and vast and offers some of Africa’s most spectacular landscapes with mountains and gorges in the west, giving way to plains, pans, baobab and fever tree forests in the east. Pafuri is true walking country and wildlife roams without hindrance of borders in a transfrontier park that spans three continents.

In Cape Town, our portfolio includes Welgelegen Boutique Hotel. Spaced in two Victorian-built houses, Welgelegen is in a tranquil and quiet area. Within a short walk of the more bustling Kloof Street some of Cape Town’s best local restaurants, bars and artisanal stores can be explored. The Cableway, Camps Bay and The Waterfront are no more than a ten-minute drive, and with views of both Table Mountain and Lion’s Head, Welgelegen truly is its translation: Well situated.

RETURNAfrica works closely with the African Safari Foundation, an independently managed not-for-profit, to build partnerships that return benefits to the land and all those it sustains. Through the ASF we link rural development to conservation and eco-tourism. In Cape Town, we work with local organisations to support the city’s most vulnerable communities.
