History:

When Frenchman Hercules Verdeau was given the farm “Champagne” in 1699, he was not to know that the farm will one day be home to a luxurious estate carrying his name.

Situated on this historically rich farm in Wellington, Verdeau Estate provides the best of both worlds…. close to the city’s amenities, but surrounded by a rustic environment that brings peace and tranquillity. A water fountain, that was once a big point of dispute between farm owners and the municipality, but resolved in 1888, forms part of the Estate, adding to
its character and sense of legacy.
