We all have our own perception of our lives in general and it is often clouded by excuses and reasons why we cannot commit to Abundance in ourselves (and our children).

TWILIGHT ART & LIFESTYLE STUDIO is different from all the other Studios in Johannesburg ~ through the medium of Art we help you nourish and develop the perception of yourselves and your environment, not just teach you to do basic ceramics, drawing and painting.

The way we teach considerably improves:
fine motor skills, co-ordination, problem solving, observation skills, independent thinking, self-esteem, improved self-confidence, imaginative thinking, concentration, consideration of others, patience, 3-D concepts, understanding of the colour spectrum, general life skills, etc...

We also offer one-on-one NLP and Life Coaching sessions for those who need a bit more motivation.


Kids art classes

Teaching children fine arts, pottery and sculpture, they will learn to draw still life, landscapes and work with water colours, making CDs and collages. Most projects are completed over a 3 week period and children are signed up and paid for on a termly basis. During the school holidays we organise special projects, so please check upcoming events to see when we are open during the holidays.


Adult art classes

These classes focus on learning, exploring and perfecting various techniques of pottery and sculpture.


Class details and times

Children aged 5 to13 years may join the Kids classes and anyone older will join the Adult classes.

Tue: Children: 14h30-16h00 pm

Wed: Adults & their children: 18h00-21h00 pm

Thu: Mixed class ~ Adults & children: 10h00-11h30 am

Fri: Children only drawing and painting class: 14h30-16h00 pm

Sat: Children: 9h30-11h00 am
Adults: 9h30-12h30 am

A) First-timers deciding whether to continue:

** 2x Adult”see-if-I-like-it” 3hr classes @ R400 per class
~ 1st class Hand building and 2nd class oxciding & painting

** 2x kids “see-if-I-like-it Ceramic 90 min classes @ R250 per class
~ 1st class Hand building & 2nd class oxciding & painting

** 1x Kids “see-if-I-like-it” Drawing & Painting 90 min class @ R250 per class

~Ceramics includes clay, oxide, paint, glazes, firing up to 32cm in height & width.

Adult’s Curriculum

Pottery and Sculpture:

Basic Techniques:
A. Pinch pot: bowl, teapot, cup
B. Slabbing : bowl, teapot, tile, plate, clock
C. Coiling: structured: bowl, plate, pot
D. Coiling : freehand : bowl, pot, vase
E. Slabbing and coiling combined, concentrating on texture, contrast and colour.

Sculpture Techniques:
A. Pinch pot: head, shoulders, fantasy
B. Slabbing : figure vase, tile designing
C. Coiling: a body, animal, fantasy
D. Pinching, slabbing and coiling combined, concentrating on texture, contrast and colour.
E. Choosing a symbol/signature that defines you
F. Finding your specific style and perfecting it.


Art classes 2016: Children’s Curriculum (from 5-13 years of age)

The children’s’ curriculum will consist of 3 weeks project cycles, to keep the classes stimulating and exciting.
