TRISANKU YOGA STUDIO. Trisanku is the Sanskrit name of the Southern Cross; a very special constellation for us living under the southern skies. And Trisanku also has a special meaning for yogi's. Indian astronomers still refer to the Southern Cross as Trisanku, and there is a saying: "I'm in Trisanku’s heaven" meaning "I am between my goal and my current situation." In our practice of Yoga, we aim to move to a new physical, mental and emotional level. It comes from Indian mythology when a handsome king named Trisanku wanted to go to heaven with his earthly body. When he got there, the gods would not accept him and they threw him out. He finally ended up hanging up side down between heaven and earth. We see him there as the Southern Cross. Trisanku shows us the way between my current situation and my goal in Yoga practice. Hence the name Trisanku and the stars in the shape of the Southern Cross in our logo!
