Tree Tops Kosmos

Tree Tops is a quaint timber cottage with a panoramic view of the Hartbeespoort dam. In the evenings the view of the lights across the lake and the sounds of natures symphony provide magical entertainment and an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The cottage is well appointed with three double bedrooms of which two have lake views and one looks out on the garden. Squeaky clean linen and soft towels are provided. Both bathrooms have shower, basin and toilet.

You can either dine indoors or on the wooden deck. A Weber braai is provided. The kitchen includes a small fridge-freezer, microwave, 4-hob cooker, zinc and dishwasher. All cutlery and crockery for 6 persons provided.

As a weekend getaway the rental period is from 5pm on Fridays until 5 pm on Sundays at a fixed price of R1800 for the weekend. A deposit of R600 is required when booking, R900 thirty days prior to your arrival and R900 seven days before you arrive. The deposit will be refunded within 7 days of your departure.

From Johannesburg, using William Nicol Road R511:
Take William Nicol Road R511 passing Four-ways Mall, Indaba Hotel, Dainfern and Diepsloot on your left
After crossing the Krugersdorp N14 motorway, turn left at the Hartbeespoortdam sign, still on the R511 (Hennopsriver Road)
Continue, past Xanadu Estate, Sediba Shopping Centre and pass through Schoemansville, the snake park and enter the tunnel.
You will pass Tan Malie on the right.
At the four-way, stop turn left at the Engen Garage and Wimpy.
After a few kilometres you will see a turn-off to Kosmos on the left-hand side.
Turn left into Kosmos Drive.
Continue with Kosmos Drive past Caribbean Beach Club until you reach the thatched security gate to enter Kosmos Village.
After going through the security procedures keep continue straight and drive along the water’s edge. Lookout for 165 Simon Bekker street and park where you see 5 black pots with pink Bougainvillas.

From Pretoria take the N1 motorway to Polokwane
Watch out for the N4 turn-off to Rustenburg and follow the motorway until you reach the the turn-off to Hartbeespoort Dam R512.
Turn left into the R511 as you leave the motorway.
Turn right at the Sasol filling station.
Cross the Damdoryn intersection, past the Engen filling station and after a few kilometres you will see a turn-off to Kosmos on the left-hand side.
Turn left into Kosmos Drive;
Continue with Kosmos Drive past Caribbean Residential Estate until you get to the thatched security gate to enter Kosmos Village;
After going through the security procedures continue straight and drive along the water’s edge. Lookout for 165 Simon Bekker street and park where you see 5 black pots with pink Bougainvillas.

From OR Tambo Airport (route via Pretoria)
Take the R21 to Pretoria
Before reaching Pretoria take the N1 North motorway to Polokwane
Watch out for the N4 turn-off to Rustenburg and follow the motorway until you reach the the turn-off to Hartbeespoort Dam R511.
Turn left into the R511 as you leave the motorway.
Turn right at the Sasol filling station.

From OR Tambo Airport (route via Diepkloof and Hennopsriver Road):
Drive out of the airport parking and join the R24 to Johannesburg.
You will need to keep in the third lane from the right as the highway continues straight and “forks” to the left. (This is the Gillooly’s Interchange.)
From Gillooly’s Interchange travel north on the N3 motorway.
Pass Linksfield, Modderfontein, London Rd, Marlboro, Buccleugh.
Take William Nicol Road R511, turning right after leaving the off-ramp and passing Four-ways Mall, Indaba Hotel, Dainfern and Diepsloot on your left
