Born in Limpopo in the late 1980, grew up in Lebowakgomo, he started his education at Dr Dixon Mphahlele Primary School and completed with Eureka Project School in 1993, matriculated with Lebowakgomo Commercial College in 1998, progressed for tertiary education at the Vaal University of Technology were he completed his National Diploma in Cost & Management Accounting in 2003, during his tertiary days, he served as a house committee member in 1999 under culture and media portfolio, joined the Association of Catholic Tertiary Students in 2000, became vice-chair in 2001 then was voted into chairpersonship in 2002, co-founded and vice-chaired Bopedi Bapedi Youth Club in 2003, served as a peer helper under the Student Counselling and Support Department in 2003 were he was awarded the entrepreneurial award accompanied by a certificate for the project with outstanding networking skills, in topping up, he received the Rectors Special Award in 2003, an award given to the most innovative student for his initiative to change the appearance of the reception area to accommodate all cultures.

During varsity holidays , he worked on voluntary basis at Lepelle-Nkumpi Local Municipality as their assistant financial officer in 2001, volunteered at Sasko Milling and Baking Company as an assistant accountant, cashier, wages clerk, despatch clerk and reconciliation clerk respectively in 2002, began his fulltime career with ABSA Bank Ltd in Kempton Park from December 2003 as a teller, progressed into the role of assistant teller controller, treasury clerk, and sales consultant until he met his tragic car explosion accident in 2004 which led to his burned facial looks. His go-getter attitude earned him various ABSA bronze prestigious awards in 2005, 2006 and 2007 respectively, he also served as the chairperson for a few community projects, diversity champs and wellness champs within ABSA branches since 2004 until 2008.

The accidental ordeal inspired him to take an immeasurable decision as he walked out of the banking industry in September 2008, his passion for giving back to the society saw him starting Selepe Motivational and Mentoring Projects Pty Ltd in a quest to create employment to other devoted youth, but due to cash flow, it could not materialise. As a result, he returned to the banking sector by taking up employment with Capitec Bank in 2009 as a service consultant, teller and became the branch caretaker in Sasolburg before joining Germiston branch in 2012 respectively, the move saw him returning to Absa/Barclays Group in Nigel as an enterprise banker in 2013, still in Nigel, he resigned from Absa/Barclays Group to join the local Standard Bank as a business banker, a role that he currently holds since June 2015.

Being multi skilled, he used his artworks to meet and present to the former Vice-Chancellor and Rector: Prof. A T Mokadi in 2001, Vodacom Chief Executive Officer: Mr. Allan Knott Craig in 2002, ABSA Group Chief Executive Officer: Dr. Steve Booysen in 2004, Capitec Bank Chief Executive Officer: Mr, Riaan Stassen in 2009, the Founder of Wimpy Group: Mr. Eric Tocknell in 2011, the Founder of Edith Unlimited: Edith Venter in 2011, the current Absa/Barclays Group of Africa Chief Executive Officer: Ms. Maria Ramos in 2014 and Celltone Chief Executive Officer: Mr. Abdulla Miya in 2015 respectively. His positivity gave him an opportunity to be featured in an early episode of Against All Odds on e-TV with Mpho Lakaje in 2012, followed by an interview on e-TV’s Sunrise Morning News with Sindy Mabe in 2013 and another interview on e-TV’s Sunrise Morning News with Faith Mangope in 2015 accordingly on behalf of the National Burn Association of South Africa where he currently serve as a volunteer executive director and national ambassador.

In addition to the media features, he received a telephonic interview by Thabiso Kotane of Capricorn FM during his show in 2009 to inspire other burn survivors around Limpopo, joined Mike Mathabathe of eKFM in studio during 2016 Heritage Month to inspire community members of Gauteng East, including magazine articles in Abacus (Absa Staff Magazine) in 2004, 2006 and 2007, The Vibe (Waterberg FET College magazine) in 2009, C-Inside (Capitec Bank staff magazine) in 2010, Vaal University of Technology graduate magazines in 2013 and 2014 respectively, sealing the features with the latest appearance in the first issue of Kasi Mag (Lebowakgomo local magazine) in 2015.

In pursuing his preferred role of speaking, he served as a guest speaker at the price giving ceremonies of Glen Cowie Secondary School in 2006, Eureka Project School and Dr. Dixon Mphahlele Primary School in 2008, Waterberg FET College in 2009; JJ Khubeka Primary School, Tsatsi Primary School, Nkgopoleng Secondary School, Kaho-Sakubutjha Secondary School and Flavious Mareka FET College in 2010 accordingly, served as guest speaker at the 1st Year Motivational Seminar for management science students at Vaal University Of Technology in 2015, served as a guest speaker at a joint event by Dept. Of Education Gauteng East District which accommodated over 1200 Grade 12’s to encourage them on achieving good results for 2016, served as guest speaker at the 1st Year Motivational Seminar for Management Science students at Vaal University Of Technology in 2016, and recently as a guest speaker at the price giving ceremony of Sizwesethu Primary School in 2016 to encourage learners from Grade 4 to Grade 7 on how to believe in themselves and achieve more.

Honoured to serve as the master of ceremonies during the World Burn Jamboree hosted by National Burn Association of South Africa in 2013, an event which brought together burn survivors from South Africa, Taiwan, South Korea and England to share their success stories in Johannesburg. He also represented NBASA at the South African Emergency Services Institute 2015 conference by thanking the fire fighters for their role, served as a guest speaker at Living Waters Ministries in Evaton during 2016 Youth Leadership Seminar, and served as a guest speaker at the launch of Omolemo Omogolo Burn Survivors South Africa on behalf of NBASA in 2016 during Mandela Month.

Selepe Madisha generates his strength from the support of his loving wife Mpho whom he married in 2013 and her adorable daughter Letlhogonolo whom was born in the same year, as a father and husband, he continues to possess an extensive enthusiasm when it comes to serving, advising and playing a leading role in the community, as a burn survivor and inspirational speaker, he aspire studying towards becoming an accredited life coach in the near future.
