From May 1986 to the end of that year Limekhaya High School had to move house from the Jabavu Road Building to the Tinara comprehensive school building in Ponana Tini Road. There was a school started already here with standard six classes only. So in the same building two schools were housed with two different principals Mr. T.D. Faku (Limekhaya High School) and Mr. T. Nongawuza (Tinara High School. The Department of Education and Training found itself having to sanction this although the demand has come from students. The Jabavu road building was not good for use, it ahs been damaged during the riots. The building was vandalized and became undesirable to use. They then decided to move to the building in Ponana Tini Road, which is now known as Tinara High.
