The Tiekam’s family have strong roots in the consumer electronics industry, that goes back to the 1970’s when the late Uttam Tiekam launched the first Audio Video Expo at the Old Hexagon Hotel in Queenstown. This family business is owned by brothers Nainesh and Rupesh Tiekam, who have two well-established stores in Queenstown and Hemingways Mall in East London.

The Tiekams family have recently brought a little sunshine to Gauteng, with the opening of Tiekam’s Expert in Forest Hill City. This new concept store is designed to inspire customers with their comprehensive range from audio, TV,
