ThinkTwice is a registered Non-Profit Organisation since 2004 with the Department of Social Development. We are based in Cape Town and we provide the following traiing programmes that seeks to strengthen enhance skills within the Early Childhood Development (ECD) sector:

1. Jerry Giraffe Training, aimed at ECD Educators. This training seeks to equip and support ECD educators with resources as they strive towards nurturing children’s ability to verbalise their feelings and make positive life choices in different situations.
Educators are therefore able to teach children a strong sense of discipline, respect for others and empathy; increase children’s self esteem, resilience; increase children’s sense of body pride, ability to disclose inappropriate behaviour and sexual abuse; improve children’s safety skills.
Overall we contribute towards building a strong foundation for a healthy sexuality in children aged 0-5 years.

2. Workplace skills Training programmes are comprehensive range of accredited career-oriented workplace skills training programmes to support and enhance the socio- economic development of individuals and our communities. The programmes are accredited by the Education and Training Development Practices (ETDP) Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA).
• Facilitate learning using a variety of given methodologies (4 days)
• Conduct Outcomes-based assessments (4 days)
• Conduct moderation of outcomes-based assessments (4 days)
• Further Education and Training Certificate: Early Childhood Development (12 Months)
• Higher Education and Training Certificate: Development Practice (12 Months)

ThinkTwice is starting up a new project, establishing an ECD learning centre of excellence that will serve the following purposes as of mid 2017:

1. Prepare its children to excel as young leaders of tomorrow by implementing a values-based curriculum tailored specifically for enhanced, first class child care services.
2. Become a pilot site for programmes that we will develop going forward for quality education.
3. Become a best practice centre of child protection where trainees are coached and mentored in a real life context with which they work.
