The Whale Watchers

The Whale Watchers have a beautiful boat, Unathi, that can carry 36 passengers and crew and can safely accommodate 6 wheelchairs. The exclusive underwater cameras bring you the 'secret' and exciting world of the Southern Right Whales so experience these marvelous creatures in their own habitat.

The main viewing deck of the Unathi is enclosed for protection from sea spray and weather conditions and comfortable seating is provided throughout.

The shareholders of The Whale Watchers is a group of proudly South African persons with a previously disadvantaged backgrounds, who accepted the challenge to excel in this whale-watching venture. We are committed to not only contribute to the tourist industry but also to protect the environment and play our part in community upliftment projects.

Our skipper and guides are registered SATOUR guides coming from the local community. They have excellent knowledge of the area, local sea conditions and weather patterns, our tour guide speaks English, Afrikaans, French and Mandarin.
