THE TASTE started operations and has brought its unique Authentic Indian dining experience on the 29th March 2014 to The JunXion – (SHOP 23 A, Cnr Bauman, Piet Retief and Soetdoring Streets, Standerton Mpumalanga, 2430(behind the Crazy Store)).

Located uptown at The JUNXION 5kms away from downtown, the customers that we have been targeting include shoppers and merchants from Standerton till Secunda or the other shopping opportunities along with business concerns and anyone who loves good food, convenience and easy parking. We are wheel chair friendly as well.

Indian food is as diverse as India. Indian cuisines use a wide range of food preparation styles, numerous ingredients and culinary presentation. From salads to sauces, from vegetarian to meat, from breads to desserts, Indian cuisine is invariably complex and we do all of them.

We do catering for Functions and host parties and would gladly like to host your esteemed organisations functions and parties.

“The Taste” is a budget-conscious person’s mainstay, offering variety, good quality and a well-tended Menu.

Two things that stand out about “The Taste” is the consistently excellent service and the ambiance. From the location on Standerton’s major commercial strip one might expect a basic, modest restaurant and the outside appearance reinforces this preconception. Inside, however, visitors become guests. The staff will be unfailingly polite and good natured, happy to answer questions about the menu or the buffet. The dining room is immaculate and has Indian and English background music to further the ambiance. It’s a nice retreat during or after a hectic day.

You’ll find a variety of Indian dishes on the menu divided into appetizers, breads and types of meat, seafood, vegetables and desserts. “The Taste” offers curry with vegetables, lamb, chicken or beef. But you’ll also find other classic sauces here, including masala or tomato cream, korma, the creamy nut sauce. Meat, poultry and seafood cooked in the extremely hot tandoor charcoal oven will be well represented.
