The Pyramid Beauty School

Along with The Pyramid Conference & Venue Centre & Day Spa, The Pyramid Spa & Beauty School, forms part of the initiative that is, rejuvenation and redeveloping of the inner city of Johannesburg.

Our vision is to provide a reputable educational centre of high standards. We aim to extend our excellence and professionalism to those who would like to see themselves successful in the Beauty industry, as well as to empower the individual who wishes to make a career for themselves as a Professional Beauty Therapist.

The school was launched on the 13th of February 2013 with 1st year Full-Time Students in Beauty & Nail Technology (FET Certificate). The Pyramid Spa & Beauty School strives to achieve a high level of quality education, with professionalism that will enhance our reputation within the Beauty industry. Classes are kept small so that students are given the “one on one” attention they deserve. We strive to deliver quality, cost effective education so learners are able to further their career with the skills and confidence required.

The school is located, next to The Pyramid Day Spa, where students will get an opportunity to get hands on working experience in a professional & established working environment. Gaining on site experience during their studies will provide the learner with an added advantage when they need to find employment in the beauty industry, either in salons, spa’s or on cruise liners.

By the year 2015, The Pyramid Spa and Beauty School aims to be running with 2nd and 3rd year courses.

Part Time courses are offered frequently during the year, ideal for the individual who would like to earn an extra income in their spare time by offering beauty services. The part time courses are done either in the week or on a Saturday morning to make it convenient for the person who already has full time commitments.


Provisionally registered with Services SETA accreditation no.4175, and accredited with City & Guilds (Centre No. 848430).

We offer the following courses:

Full-Time:
FET Certificate in Beauty Technology Certificate (1 year).
FET Certificate in Beauty and Nail Technology (1 ½ years)
National Diploma in Health and Skincare (2-3 years)

Basic Make-up
Swedish Massage
Eyebrow & Eyelash Tinting & Shaping
Eyelash Extensions
Nail Technology
