The Nail Bar

Located in the heart of Harare in the quiet suburb of Eastlea, The Nail Bar offers one of a kind services you will keep coming back. Our nail technicians underwent training by Elke Timm, an experienced nail tech from Germany (www.beautynails.info) who has been in business for more than 25 years.

We’re working with the best internationally renowned quality products, with the UV cured Gel technique. Please note that we do not offer Acrylic

Our History
We are two sisters who have sensitive nail beds and have always had bad experiences especially when it came to sculptured nails. Acrylic would burn and weaken the nail bed while gel was too much for us to afford. One day while I was dealing with a broken painful nail I meet someone who has become my friend and mentor Elke Timm. “Yikes your nails are so thin……” the schooling began little did I know I was speaking to a guru of nails in Germany.

We hit it off and one day she says to me, “eey why don’t you start doing your own nails?” “I don’t see why not” I said and today here we are.

We commenced together with our first training in Gel technique and Sugaring at Cresta lodge in Harare and today we have our first Nail bar in Harare. We are trained by German nail specialists who take pride in the art of having beautiful hands and healthy nails.

Why the name “The Nail Bar” – we love our wine and our nails therefore we will be offering refreshments at a flat price. We totally understand sitting for more than an hour might be too long, we do not want you to die of thirst.

Our Products & Services
• For sculputured nails, nail extensions and overlays we specialise in UV cured Gel technique. It is odourless and non-porous in a variety of colours.
• We offer UV Polish for the permanent polish - yet thin coating.

• Sugaring –
When it comes to getting rid of unwanted hair on your body, shaving and waxing are probably the first two treatments that come to mind. They’re both less expensive and less painful compared to laser hair removal. But there is another possibility that’s a way sweeter deal — literally.

A paste made from sugar, lemon and hot water is used to pull hair out of the roots. Sugaring is by far one of the most gentle technique that’s a natural alternative to lasers, and one that lasts longer than traditional waxing.It does not stick to skin but only to the hair. Therefore, it really gets the hair out of the roots and rather than a wax that adheres to your skin and pulls your skin when you are removing the hair, sugar just binds to your hair and only pulls the hair – making this hair removal almost (!) painfree
