What the Four Wheel Drive Club will offer you as a member:
To share the love of 4x4ing and the outdoors with like minded people.
Being part of the club opens up a wealth of knowledge which you can drawn from other members who are always willing to help out. This can range from ‘’I have a weird sound coming from my engine" to I am doing a "Cape to Cairo trip and need some help planning”.
Day trips, weekend trips and extended outings are all arranged by the club and you will be notified well in advance of the ones that are being planned, so that you can arrange your trips and holidays upcoming. You may also suggest trips if you know of a route or course which is not on the clubs roster. There are Q&A sessions for the people that want to attend but are unsure of what they would need to get together and how it all works.
BASE 4 is the Club’s own venue and also where we have our open days every second Sunday of the month. It is a great meeting place which has a fully stocked bar, braai facilities and a pool. Most importantly it has a full size 4x4 track and camping space for use of it’s members. FREE OF CHARGE!!!
FWDCSA also offers a range of courses which can be attended. Driver training, bush mechanic and recovery training courses are a regular feature and is are well supported.
We also have interesting talks by experts in their field about a variety of subjects which may interest you as a lover of the great outdoors and off-roading in particular.
The club is involved with conservation and are in the process of becoming part of a Nature Conservation and protected area.
The clubhouse is a great venue for parties, weddings, team building and is available at preferential rates to members and also available for businesses to promote their products.
