The Bargaining Council for the Civil Engineering Industry (BCCEI) was officially registered on 07th December 2012 after the industry realised a need for centralised bargaining.
The bargaining council will negotiate minimum wages, social benefits, conditions of employment, solve labour disputes and make proposals on labour laws and policies. In addition to governmental institutions, such as the Department of Labour, that regulates industrial relations in the Civil Industry, the most important industry regulatory body is the Bargaining Council for the Civil Engineering Industry (BCCEI).
The BCCEI stands for Integrity, Fairness and Commitment, and these will be the expected main driving factors when servicing the Industry.
