Sutherland Transport was founded by Dawie van der Westhuizen in 1994. Today it is the foremost Road Transporter operating in the PE-Gauteng corridor and on the PE-Durban and PE-Cape Town Routes.

Focused on expanding its services for importers utilising the less congested Port Elizabeth option, Sutherland Transport is growing its capacity in the important PE-Gauteng corridor.

By offering importers a comprehensive, efficient and economical range of services, Sutherland Transport has become the transporter of choice on this important route. Using its Advanced Road Transport System (A.R.T.S), Sutherland is able to integrate it’s added value package through superior technology, specialised problem solving and extended distribution options.

From our Head Office and Workshop Infrastructure in Port Elizabeth on the outskirts of Addo, in the Nelson Mandela Metropol Industrial area, we maintain and operate a fleet of 80 vehicles. Today Sutherland Transport is a highly diversified intercity transporter that has developed its expertise and services into specialised container handling, de-stuffing, warehousing and distribution.
