Pallets International

Containerized Pallet cc trading as Pallets International was founded by Charles Wren on the 1st May 2002 to manufacture Wooden Pallets & Crates, Warehouse Decking and Reclaimed Timber. The company’s first premises of 150m² was in Murdock Street Deal Party, after 18 months we moved to 167 Grahamstown Road were we rented 1200m² of factory space. After 3 years it was evident that we needed more warehousing and purchased our current premises in Buick Street, Markman Industrial township. We have been trading here since 2007.

We employ 67 employees mostly from the Wells Estate and Motherwell areas. The company is managed by a small management team as follows:

Target Market:

Automotive component manufactures who pack their goods onto pallets for shipping. Packaging specialists who attach special cardboard boxes onto pallets for packaging of components. Engineering shops that require special crating and components to ship their machines. Warehouses that need decking for their racking.

Capacity:

Located in Markman Industrial on a single shift the plant has the capacity to process, assemble and deliver 18 cubic meters of timber into 600 pallets per day / 16 500 per month (more or less depending on the pallet specifications and complexity).

Raw Materials:

Kiln Dried SA Pine is supplied by Geelhoutvlei Timbers, AC Whitcher Sawmills, PG Bison Thesen Sawmills and MTO George Sawmill.
Wet Off Saw Pine is supplied by MTO Longmore sawmills.
Reclaimed Pine is supplied through a timber reclamation program involving the collection, stripping and de-nailing of dunnage and crating from assembly plants in the Eastern Cape and Border regions.
