Sunset Bush Camp

Sunset Bush Camp is a small piece of paradise in the heart of the bushveld, situated in the Dinokeng Big 5 Game Reserve, only 100 km from OR Tambo International Airport. This is ideal for game and bird lovers, with the African Big 5 surrounding you and more than 450 bird species too seek. Note that you will need to travel about 10km on a gravel road which is not always suitable for low clearance vehicles.

The self catering accommodation comprises of 3 permanent safari tents, 3 chalets and one cottage.

The safari tents are furnished with a queen-size bed with electric blanket and white linen, a bar fridge, a fan, and a patio with a table and chairs. All of the tents are right up against the fence. Each tent has its own private detached ablution with toilet, basin, shower and built-in cupboard. There is a fully equipped communal kitchen that is shared by the 3 tents. Each camp site has its own small boma with braai fireplace and Cadac gas braai for breakfast or rainy days. The tents are suited for two adults. It is possible to add a mattress should you want to bring a child.

The chalets are furnished with a queen size bed and single bed all covered with white linen, built-in cupboard, en-suite bathroom containing a shower, toilet and basin. All chalets are fitted with an air conditioning unit for heating and cooling. Two of the chalets are right up against the fence and third chalet also has a good view of the bush. The three chalets and cottage share a communal kitchen near the main boma area and have their own braai at the chalet. The chalets are suited for two adults and a child or third adult.

The cottage is a small room furnished with a double bed covered with white linen, built-in cupboard, en-suite bathroom containing a shower, toilet and basin. This unit is fitted with an air conditioning unit for heating and cooling. This unit is located next to the fence and is short distance from the rest of the chalets and tents and ideal for privacy and has its own braai. The cottage is suited for two people only.

There is a communal lounge and large boma for groups and a swimming pool with elevated deck overlooking the bush.

We offer game drives and Guided Bush Walkes at extra cost and Dinokeng offers a self-drive route, should you prefer to drive yourself.
