Summer Gathering

For us, there’s just something magical about South African summers… The nostalgia of braai smoke, shorts and slops, music blaring in the background, laughter of the young and old, and the bright beautiful sunshine; it’s hard not to do a little happy dance on the spot as you picture it all. Summer is a beautiful thing and it should be celebrated together!

The Summer Gathering is a convening of food, drinks, music, art, design and social. It’s upmarket and sophisticated but it’s also for everyone. Think Market on Main in Maboneng, Neighbourgoods in Braamfontein or Biscuit Mill in Cape Town. The concept is as old as the hills… We didn’t invent the idea, we simply aim to perfect it.

We are four entrepreneurs who have partnered with Emperor’s Palace to bring together the best gourmet food stalls, a wine bar and entertainment area, soulful live music, an arts and design section and lots of social gathering. This annual extravaganza is scheduled to take place on 1 & 2 November 2014 at Emperor’s Palace and we can’t wait to show the world what we have in store! It’s a coming together of community in a way that’s relevant to everyone.
