Sulabh International Centre for Action Sociology – South Africa (SICAS-SA) is a nonprofit organisation, founded by Sulabh International Centre for Action Sociology, India (SICAS).
Sulabh International was founded in India in 1970 under the inspired stewardship of Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak, a Sociologist & Social Reformer.
SICAS–SA aims to provide and promote healthy, practical sanitation solutions through a range of innovative social programmes including the construction and maintenance of world class public toilet complexes, the construction of toilets at rural schools and homes utilising Sulabh’s innovative technologies and insights. Working with Government, Corporates and Community Groups, SICAS-SA aims to make a meaningful and sustainable contribution to alleviating the sanitation challenge in South Africa.
