WHAT IS DEBT COUNSELLING / DEBT REVIEW?

Debt counselling / review is the reduction of all debt REPAYMENT and protection of consumers assets from being repossessed. This process may only be done via a registered debt counsellor with the NCR(national credit regulator)

Every application must be taken to court or tribunal to make the reduced payment an order of the court.

Every consumers "new" repayment term is unique, the repayment term depends on the consumer's salary, deductions and monthly living expenses and total amount of debt.

With every application the consumer does receive a Summary Instalment (SI) that shows all new repayment terms amounts and interest amounts.

distribution of you monthly repayment funds are handles by the NPDA(national payment distribution agency) with the NCR and are not handled by the debt counsellor
