A market for industrial,agricultural & mining equipment were identified in the Bronkhorstspruit and surrounding area, and established in 1986, and incorporated in South Africa Southern Services cc started trading during 1994 in the Bronkhorstspruit and surrounding area under the leadership of the current member – Frans Mare', the close corporation started trading in transmission equipment & Bearings, thus continuing their dedication to their customers.

Frans Mare' were involved in a family business in Bronkhorstspruit, since 1987, and after his father passed away in 1990, decided to start a new company, (Southern Services cc) continuing in supplying and servicing the industrial and local market in Ekandustria and Bronkhorstspruit. The company started with just two employees, and today the company has grown to employing a total of 21 permanent employees.

Frans Mare' and his family are the fourth generation to establish themselves in the Bronkhortspruit area, and will continue for generations to come.

Southern Services cc are able to provide its customers access to a comprehensive range of industrial mining supplies , as well as hydraulic & safety equipment , at an affordable price.

Some of the products include “ Bearings , V Belts , couplings , pulley's , taper bushes , Bolts & Nuts , fasteners , Rotary shaft seals , Hydraulic packing & seals , Hand & power tools , Safety Equipment , Rubber hoses , Air hoses etc etc and the range are being expanded regularly.

The main customers are industrialists who invested in Ekandustria, the industrial area situated on the outskirts of Bronkhorstspruit, as well as local businesses, private individuals and farmers. We do not and will never discriminate against any customer. Out motto are that it is because of the customer that we are in business. Soon the local farming community noticed the excellent service Southern Services were offering, and they requested that more and more products be stocked, to minimize downtime, and in the same time increasing productivity, and up to date the range of products are upgraded/increased on a regular basis.

We have a very low employee turnover, and a majority of the staff are employed for more than 10 years. TEAMWORK – IT WORKS

MINING / CRUSHING / SCREENING

During 2004 the current member obtained an opportunity to become involved in the open cast mining & crushing industry. We were sub-sequintly awarded a contract for the mining , crushing & screening of ceramic clay by Ecca Holdings (Pty) Ltd a susidary of the Imereys group (a French based company), in Modimole (Nylstroom)situated in the Limpopo region.

Since then Southern Services cc has completed several mining campains and acted as sub contractor to and in co-operation with Khukwane Earth & Civils cc , for Ecca Holdings (Pty) Ltd , Samrec (Pty) Ltd , Refractory Minerals (Pty) Ltd – all sudsedary companies of the Imereys group.

We believe in a “hands on” approach in managing all our sites, as this proved to be be the most beneficiary to all parties involved.
