We are within easy access of Durban and Johannesburg by road and your journey ends at our special retreat with staff on hand to assist you to unpack and settle in. Days spent out in the sunshine are followed by evenings enjoying the sea breeze at our outdoor dining table. Truly tranquil and relaxing!

•Turtle watching – Loggerhead and Leatherback Turtles that nest on the Sodwana Bay beaches along with 3 other species that visit our shores.
•Snorkelling – excellent snorkelling spots at Sodwana Bay, Kingfisher Bay, Adlams, Algae Reef and Mabibi, all accessible by four-wheel drive vehicle along the beach. These reefs are abundant in goldies, lionfish, zebras, wrass, crayfish, feather stars, rays and moray eels.
•Bird watching – over 350 species of birds that frequent the area.
•Hiking – enthusiasts can follow a 5km (3 miles) walking trail which leads around the coastal forests and dunes. The area is rich in cultural history with evidence of ancient shell middens still found along the coastal dunes.
•Horse riding – Horse riding can be enjoyed on the beach and in the reserve.
•Microlighting – amazing views of the lakes, coastal forests, and beach.
•Kite surfing – with its long outstreched beach and bay, Sodwana offers one of the best Kite surfing spots.
•Surfing – waves to learn on and also challenging the more experienced wave seekers.
• Whale and Dolphin watching cruises – Annually, from mid-May to mid-December, Humpback Whales migrate past the Sodwana Bay coast to breed in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. They move as far north as Mozambique before turning back and heading for the Antarctic.
Whilst out on the boat dolphins may swim alongside and a variety of other sea life can been seen such as turtles and sharks. Seagulls are also part of the scenery.
• Quad biking – 1hr and 2hr tours are available as well as a 3-4hr tour to Lake Sibaya.
