TRAINING
Siyaya Skills Institute is an accredited provider with SSeta, Department of Education, Umalusi and registered with the Department of Labour. We have, to date, completed over 9000 learnerships. We offer an expansive list of Qualifications and Learnerships.

SDF OUTSOURCING SOLUTION
The primary responsibility of Siyaya's SDF Outsourcing department is to ensure that clients record training expenses (both internal and external) correctly and submit the necessary documentation in order to be reimbursed Mandatory Grant by their SETA. We have two services which cater for business.
The first is for clients who merely want the documentation compiled and submitted correctly; the other is a turnkey service where we manage the entire process.

As it is a legislated requirement that employers of 50 or more persons constitute a fairly representative Workplace Training Committee, Siyaya will ensure that these meetings occur and all relevant record keeping is kept - requirements needed in Skills Development Monitoring and Auditing visits.

Siyaya's service includes:
compliance, determining job profiles and categories of employees
conducting a skills audit and highlighting skills gaps
researching and aligning training requirements of positions with registered Unit Standards and qualifications
completing Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and integrating financial, strategic and individual requirements through an elected Workplace training committee
submitting a Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) to relevant SETA
advising the employer on the implementation of the WSP
researching and determining training budget and funding opportunities
implementing planned activities through accredited training providers
assisting the employer with the drafting of an Annual Training Report/Implementation Report against the approved WSP
submitting an Annual Training Report (ATR), reporting progress and claiming applicable training grants
researching and determining training budget and funding opportunities
formulating a training practice to comply with Discretionary Grant requirements
submitting applications for Discretionary Grants
serving as a contact person between the employer and SETA.
We add value by:
accessing funding for our clients from respective SETA's
assisting companies to benefit from financial incentives such as SARS's and Section 12H allowance
aligning training objectives to optimize the organization's B-BBEE rating
addressing any skills shortages

EMPLOYMENT EQUITY PLAN SOLUTIONS
We at Siyaya Skills Institute understand that with the mountain of legislation it is impossible for businesses to be compliant in all areas without assistance.
In 2004 we instituted an Employment Equity desk within Siyaya to assist our clients with the formulation and submission of their Employment Equity Plans. We make it our business to keep abreast of all changes and developments within the Department of Labour Employment Equity framework.
Our service includes
Our team of consultants provide an A – Z service which includes:
gathering relevant information
aligning job titles to occupation levels
instituting relevant Employment Equity policies and procedures
compiling the plan
making submissions to the Department of Labour
Reporting on submitted plans
Representing our clients in a consultative capacity during the Department of Labor’s audits

B-BBEE SOLUTION
Compliance in some shape or form with The Department of Trade and Industries Broad-based Black Economic Empowerment scorecard has become a vital part of doing business in South Africa.

SKILLS FUNDING
A learnership is defined by a full qualification which has been identified by the SETA's, employers, employees and other interested stakeholders as a critical skill. As such there are various incentives available to organizations who wish to participate (B-BBEE, Tax Concession – Section 12H, etc). The learnership process is however incentivized for a reason as it is not without pain.
Siyaya Skills Institute has successfully completed more than 9000 learnerships since 2001 and strives to ensure that the learnership process is as smooth as possible for our clients.

We, at Siyaya Skills Institute, do appreciate that organizations have little or no budget to achieve this compliance thus we advise our clientele how to achieve the best possible scorecard within their budgets.
How does Siyaya assist clients to achieve a score on little or no budget?
We begin by assessing what our clients have in place currently.
It is our experience that most clients are compliant in some form, without knowing it.
Next, we quantify the investment needed to achieve satisfactory scores in the various elements and then apply for grants and various incentives available.
Examples of these would be:
The Mandatory Grant
Discretionary funding from the SETA’s
The Section 12h incentive
How much does it cost?
Basic B-BBEE consultancy is provided to Siyaya’s SDF Outsourcing clients free of charge.
For non-Siyaya SDF Outsourcing clients wanting in-depth assistance, an hourly consultancy charge would apply. Verification is not provided by Siyaya but a list of SANAS accredited verification agencies are provided to our clients to choose from on request.
