Simanyene Center for the Disabled

Simanyene Center for the Disabled opened in 2012 and is located in the township of Nomzamo. We are an NPO 158-330 and are registered with the Western Cape Department of Health - certificate number 140. We are a PBO and approved for purposes of SECTION 18A for donations.
Our Mission is to glorify God by supporting children and young adults with physical and intellectual disabilities. The Center is a ministry of Simanyene Bible Church and it is our goal to help each individual reach their full God-given potential. We believe that each one counts and can learn at his or her own ability. Simanyene Center is designed so that each person can continue to learn and grow physically, mentally and spiritually.
Our desire is to provide compassionate care and have an environment where children and young disabled adults can learn new skills and be taught the Word of God each day. It is our desire to be an encouragement to our students’ families and a benefit in the community.
Our day center is from 10:00 - 3:00 pm Monday - Friday. We currently have 19 students ranging in age from 6 - 27 years old. There is a young adult program and a children's program. Therapies are provided through Senecio to the children who are in need. Each student receives individual attention in academics and participates in daily life skills. Bible class is taught each day and our aim is to meet the physical, mental and spiritual needs of our students.
Tuition Fees are R250 per month for Jan 2016 and R200 for transportation within the community. Additional subsidies and sponsorships are needed and appreciated to cover the operating expenses of the center. Currently, we are registered for 20 students and have 1 opening available.
