This tranquil African paradise boasts a stylish lodge and luxurious river escape set in the magnificent natural setting of the beautiful main Okavango River. The river feeds and channels its crystal clear waters through the entire Okavango Delta.

Shakawe River Lodge boasts ten air conditioned, luxury suites comprising three double suites with king size beds and seventwin bedded suites. The honeymoon suite, built further from the main lodge also has an outside shower and extendedprivate deck with comfortable day bed.

As a guest you will receive personalized attention and savour the highest standards of uncompromised service and attention. Each unit has a flat screen LCD television, offering a standard hotel DSTV bouquet. Soft bath robes and writing stationery are also provided for your indulgence.

Each of the ten spacious, ensuite, airconditioned suites are beautifully appointed and fitted with state of the art finishings. Tucked away in the shady riverine forest, the view from your private deck looks out over a small channel, lined with an expanse of papyrus and an abundance of incredible birdlife.

The lodge has been designed to maximize the river view and the dining area, lounges, bar and deck all boast magnificent views of the main Okavango River.

Elegantly decorated with African artefacts, the main lodge area brings style and splendour to the exquisite surroundings. Sumptuous meals prepared by our experienced chefs, are enjoyed on the deck where you will experience superb fine dining. Sundowners on the deck are a perfect way to end your African safari day.

The swimming pool deck, with relaxing day beds and loungers, provides welcome relief on balmy afternoons. Enjoy a cooled cocktail or simply soak up the warm Botswana sun.
