Sesfigile Logistics

Sesfigile was established in 1971 by Mr C.S Gounder in Witbank and traded as Govinders Commercial Agencies. This involved the transportation of oil and paraffin around the Mpumalanga area. The business operated with a compliment of five trucks.

Since the death of Mr Gounder in 1990 the business has passed hands and is now owned and run by Mr N Gounder and Mrs T C Gounder. The company has taken a 360 degree turn with a full name change, a growth in transport vehicles to (one hundred and eight) ranging from 1-34 tons and a staff compliment of (one hundred and fifty employees) Sesfigile Logistics CC is a 100% black owned and holds the status of 50% black women owned business.

Since inception the business was involved with the transportation of Oil and Gasoline for
a well-known Petroleum brand. During those days Govinders Commercial Agencies held the contract for transportation of its products but with transformation the contract was given to another contractor.

At 2003 the company earned a contract with the country's largest beverage brand within the Witbank area and eventually grew to other depots. Awarded with a Petroleum contract for transportation in 2005 for the Mpumalanga region, Sesfigile Logistics CC was then offered the contract for the chain store deliveries at a petroleum depot in lsando. This brought the customer service satisfaction rate up to a 95% benchmark and we have since then taken over all of the above mentioned Petroleum requirements in lsando and Durban.

In 2010 Sesfigile began further petroleum operations in Bethlehem, Bloemfontein and Klerksdrop deports.
