SA Horse Back Safari's

We do casual riding on well behaved and trained horses through the Krugersdorp Game Reserve which boasts with a beautiful scenery and 17 species of wildlife and an abundance of birdlife.
Game that we are able to view on horse back include giraffe, zebra, black wildebeest, blesbok, impala, springbok, eland, kudu and gemsbok to name but a few.
The trail ride is approximately 2-2.5 hours, and not only does the horse safari include all the adventure and luxury of a normal game viewing safari, but by being on horseback, one truly becomes part of the environment.
The horses keep their own senses tuned in for game and by following the direction of its ears, well camouflaged game are revealed in and among the bush. Once comfortable the horses will drop their heads to graze and this signals that the animals can relax too.
In this fashion one can happily take photographs and drift alongside a herd of antelope observing them as they go about their daily routine.
Additional advantages of being on horseback is being seated at a height that make game spotting easy and the ability to cover different terrain to get to the animals.
We specialise in game viewing and horse back riding, therefore the ride is a walk only. We cater mostly for novice riders although experienced riders are also welcome.
The horse riding package is R300 pp and includes a 2-2.5 hour horse ride and a cooldrink afterwards.
Terms and Conditions of riding at S.A. Horseback Safari’s:
1. The fees exclude entrance but allows for a discounted rate of only *R30 pp and is payable at reception.
2. No smoking whilst on horseback.
3. No drinking before your ride, we reserve the right to turn you away should you be under the influence of alcohol and your fees are non refundable.
4. A non refundable deposit of 50% secures your booking. 48 hours notice should you wish to reschedule.
5. We take responsibility in providing you a good service and an awesome experience but cannot do anything about the weather. The only time we cancel a ride is when there is lightning and heavy rain, but will happily reschedule should the ride be cancelled.
6. Beverages after the ride are included and this includes; water and soft drinks only. Alcoholic drinks and milkshakes are for your own account.
7. Please be considerate toward other riders and be on time, at least 15 min before the ride.
