Rivonia Budo Karate Academy

Rivonia Budo Karate Academy is an authentic Shotokan karate dojo affiliated to Budo Karate International (founded by 8th Dan Malcolm Dorfman) and Karatenomichi World Federation (KWF) in Japan. Our emphasis is the practice and preservation of authentic budo karate techniques, traditions, original values and ethos while continuously evolving by fostering the development of correct, scientific and safe modern exercise technology. Our core value is Shojiki (integrity). Under the guidance of Budo Karate International Chief Instructor and Karate No Michi World Federation Assistant Chief Instructor Malcolm Dorfman, Rivonia Budo Karate Academy believes a true karate-ka is a holistic being and aims to maximize the physical, cognitive, emotional, value-system and life skills of our members.

The Academy was founded and is run by instructors Lars Niehaus (5th Dan) and Josh Feldman (4th Dan) and is based in Johannesburg, South Africa at the Rivonia Recreation Club in Paulshof.
