Revelation Ministries Zoar

REVELATION MINISTRIES is situated between the picturesque boundaries of the Kannaland Municipality. With our Head Office in the small rural town, Zoar which is geographically placed plusminus 21 kilometers east of Ladismith in the Western Cape (Coordinates: 33°29’S 21°26’E). Zoar and surroundings is semi-arid with jagged cliffs and gorges forming the beautiful landscapes.

Zoar was found by South African Missionaries in 1817 and was named after Zoar on the Red Sea, mentioned in the Bible (Genesis 14:2-8). The name at first meant ‘insignificance’, but when Lot fled from Sodom, it acquired the meaning of ‘refuge’, ‘haven’. With a population of plusminus 5000 people, the primary source of income are generated through seasonal work on surrounding farms and also governmental grants.

The ministry was established from a divine instruction to Pastor Mike Seale from Cape Town. God instructed Pastor Seale to host a week long evangelical crusade in Zoar. During this crusade God demonstrated His power through supernaturally healing sicknesses and diseases, setting the captives free, delivering people from bondages and saving lifes for the Kingdom of Light. The immediate need for a ministry arised as many people were saved.

When confronted with the question of starting a church in Zoar, Pastor Seale responded that the only sign he will except from God is the sign of rain. On this day, being a warm day in the middle of summer with clear blue skies as far as the eye can see. Their were no sign of any rain falling any day soon. However God divinely answered through rain pouring down from heaven not even 5 minutes after Pastor Seale released the words of rain, as a sign for establishing the church. People in the area testified of this miracle as the rain only fell in the immediate area of the house in which Pastor Seale were during his visit and also only for a very sort period of time. Needless to say, this ministry was given birth to soon after this miracle. Lionel and Daphlene Rose were divinely appointed to shepherd the flock. During 2013 God lead Pastor Lionel to establish a church in Ladismith and Hoeko. Immediately people responded when the church was launched in Ladismith. God graced the ministry with favor and growth was inevitable. After a couple of weeks of transporting people to and from Zoar it became a logistical problem to accommodate all people and the urgent need for a building arised. Supernatural growth has been activated over the ministry as we carry a mandate of God to restore His people in the entire Kannaland area.
