We are refurbishing and re-branding our commercial complex from "Quénet's Arcade" to "Q-Square". Phase I of the redevelopment will include a glass roof section over the “old” section of the arcade from High Street entrance and the “pergola” section of the Stockenstroom Street entrance, re-tiling and cladding of the walls and columns and new shop fronts. Both the High Street and Stockenstroom Street entrances will include an architectural designed perforated metallic modern cube-like structure to rebrand and highlight the entrances. Part of our overall vision is to include local artists from the Worcester region and hence we will include sculpture art works of Bill Davis which is in keeping with the new look "art-walk theme" of the complex together with a polished steel canopy which reflects shoppers walking underneath together with a water feature.
The project commenced on 4 August 2014 with a planned completion date end of February 2015.The construction team of NMC, under the supervision of R&L Architects have done their utmost to cause the minimum disturbance to our existing tenants during this phase. We have spared no expense in appointing these top professional firms from Cape Town to deliver the desired outcome. We are also in discussions with various prospective tenants for a second phase of the redevelopment of Q-Square.
