About Pro Auto Rubber


Pro Auto Rubber was started in 1995 as a very small entity in the South African rubber trade.

We have managed over the years to grow our company into one of South Africa’s largest players, specializing in rubber extrusions, mouldings, flocking profiles, co-extruded rubber profiles, rubber and seal kits for various makes of vehicles and rubber grommets, rubber insertions, and hoses.

We are proud to say that we can offer most forms of rubber products made from all the different compounds available on the market, and we are constantly upgrading our product range and keeping up with world wide trends and new technology.

When the company was started we focused mainly on the automotive sector, we have through the years been able to venture into various different aspects of the rubber industry. This was made possible by new people from different rubber backgrounds joining our family of friends. Between our staff members and management we are proud to say that we have over 100 years of experience.

We are very proud to say that from our humble beginnings we have spread our wings and opened branches located very strategically throughout South Africa to serve our customers more efficiently.

Where we distribute:

Our current client base is distributed over the whole of South Africa, with focal points in Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Western Cape, Kwazulu Natal,Pinetown and Orange Free state.

However, with our increased capacity and superior quality products we are able to supply overseas clients to the exacting standards that they demand.

Process Description

Raw materials are mixed in the mixing plant. These combine to form what is known as compound, or then raw synthetic rubber. This is taken to the extruder where a die for the specific extrusion is fitted.

The rubber is pushed through the die and is then fed into the curing line, where it is first cured by microwave and then by heat. At the end of the line the cured and finished product is coiled and then delivered.

Proautorubber has modern highly efficient microwave curing extrusion lines that ensures consistent production of high quality extrusions.

Our state of the art compression and transfer moulding presses are used to manufacture large quantities of gaskets, and grommets to exacting standards.

Our Mixing plant is modern and highly effective and we mix EPDM, EPDM sponge, SBR, NBR, Nitrile and Neoprene.

Throughout the production process quality is ensured by using Shadow graph Abrasion testers, Flock testers, Bond testing equipment, Chemical analyzers, Rheometers, Mooney Viscometers and Tensile testers.

Our factory (SDV International Trading) has recently received ISO 9001 certification, ensuring high quality products and service to our clients. We are proud to say that we have a Level 3 BEE certificate proofing our commitment to a better South Africa for all.
