About Us

Personal Risk Insurance & Security Management trading as Prism Consultants cc was established at the end of 1993 and taken over by Steven Burger in 1994. In September of 1999 Johan Holtzhausen became a partner adding his particular talents and soon Prism became a recognized name amongst the Insurance fraternity.

The core of the business is Personal and Commercial, Insurance and by demand of our clients we now also offer Long Term Insurance products and as an Independent Broker, representing just about all the Insurers operating in South Africa. We are members of the Professional Brokers Association , the FIA , and registered and compliant with the Financial Services Board.

Difficult times forced some Brokers to find other pastures and Prism , with it`s sound financial management was in a position to take over and incorporate the clients into the custody and control of our systems.

Proper office space became an issue and Prism bought a Commercial Property in Parow situated at cnr of Fairfield South and Second Avenue, Parow. An opportunity presented itself in Hermanus and Prism Overberg was established and is currently housed in our own building on the corner of Piet Retief st. and Main rd., Sandbaai. By taking over smaller Brokers business Prism became a major player in Insurance in the Overberg as well.

Boland Brokers situated in Gansbaai, about 50 km from Hermanus offered their book of business to us and the Prism expertise soon established itself as a popular choice and resident clients are eager to visit the branch and discuss Insurance detail with a person they can actually see and touch.

2015 will see Prism Consultants celebrating it`s 21st year of existence and everyone is keen to improve the good standards set over the years to an even higher level.
