I am a Registered Trauma Counsellor working in Private Practice with registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa and the Board of Healthcare Funders of Southern Africa. I work with adults, adolescents and children.

I think that we all can easily underestimate the power and value of emotion when we get caught up in our busy schedules or when faced with numerous stressors. Counselling can provide a safe and nurturing space for one to explore all the emotions hidden behind life’s difficulties. It also provides a space where understanding and healing can take place, providing you with the tools to enrich your life.

My passion has always been child trauma, understanding the symptomology and facilitating the path to mental well-being. I work from a Person Centred Theoretical approach that regards empathy, genuineness and unconditional understanding as vital to the therapeutic relationship. However we are all unique and therefore I adapt sessions according to the clients’ needs.
