Oceanview Forest Resort

DESCRIPTION:

Our caravan / tent sites are between 100 and 120 sq.m., grassed with many trees, but there are open stands if you prefer.

Electricity is laid on to most stands. Water can be fetched from central points. Each holidaymaker must provide his/her own extension cord to take electricity from the nearest power point to his/her tent or caravan.

For the keen bird watcher there is a large variety of wild birds present on the property. Different buck, porcupine, lynx, etc. are also still seen.

We pride ourselves on having clean general ablution facilities with a hand-wash laundry area, but there is a laundry just 1.5km down the road.

Our swimming pool is a “one level” (1.35m) pool with a baby/toddler pool.

For the enjoyment of our guests, we offer: Table Tennis, Walking Trail and a kiddies park for the little ones.

PLUS: Beautiful venue for weddings, etc. with a 180° ocean view.

Close conveniences are: Hardware store, Chemist, Bottle store, Spar, Laundry, Restaurants, Pub and Grub, Filling station, Vet, Hairdresser, Doctor’s surgery and Bay West Mall is only 15km away with Metlife Plaza shopping centre just 20 minutes away.

For hiring we have:

A few “On-site” Caravans, with lean-to’s instead of tents, in which we provide: crockery, cutlery, pot, pan, toaster, fridge, two-burner hotplate, kettle, broom, hand brush and scoop and cloths for washing and drying up. You must provide your own bedding and pillows, towels, double-adaptor/s and extension cords. Feel free to bring your microwave oven, TV and whatever else you normally use but we do not provide.

Our fees are very reasonable with a 30% reduction for PENSIONERS (from age 60) during off-season.


DIRECTIONS:

From Port Elizabeth City, take:

(1) Cape Road to old Greenbushes Motel, turn left, go on for 11 km to our board on the right. Turn right, go on for 1,4km on the gravel road to our brick road turning right and 800m up to the office.

(2) N2 to or from Cape Town: Take off-ramp 730 to Seaview, go on for 8.3km to our turn-off on the right.

(3) From Summerstrand/Humewood/Walmer: Walmer Boulevard into Heugh Road into Buffelsfontein Road to Seaview and on until our turn-off on the left.
