Oasis - House of the Father

For the past 30 years, Sarel and Thiesa van der Merwe have been involved in restoration and healing of the Church of Jesus Christ, and the counselling and ministry to broken and sick people. This includes marriage counselling and setting people free from demonic influences.

In 1991 the first Counselling School was started and through the years the ministry greatly impacted the lives of many people. In 1996 God spoke to Sarel, instructing him to plant a church in Kempton Park, namely Oasis Christian Church.
From the start Oasis Christian Church was based on the principles of a New Testament Church, which served as a model congregation for many students, which had been trained at the Institute For Christian Counselling - now known as Theologos School Of Ministry.

The church is an Oasis in a desert - bringing hope, healing and deliverance to many people. As a House of the Father, the focus of this ministry is to reveal the heart of the Father to this Fatherless generation.

Since its inception, Oasis has experienced significant influence in the community and South Africa...
