Noviti Dance Project

The Noviti Dance Project is the heart and brain child of Salsa dancer, choreographer, teacher and performer Shon Mambo who has been dancing since the age of 16.

The name ‘Noviti’ is the name of Shon’s late Mother meaning Togetherness / Brotherhood / Sisterhood / Family. The representation of this is visible in the logo which incorporates dancers forming part of a tree remaining rooted in dance and family. The dancers’ arms form the branches but can also be viewed as a hand reaching out (to each other) over countries and continents through dance.

Noviti started in Cape Town bringing together local and international exceptional professional-amateur dancers coming from different dance backgrounds who met each other through the South African Salsa Community. The team currently consists of 8 dancers led by Shon Mambo.
