Northwood Crusaders Hockey Club

Our mission as Northwood Crusaders Hockey Club is to have a consistently competitive men’s and women’s team across every division in KZN hockey from Premier league all the way through to 4th division, whilst not forgetting the history of our club. Our desire is to achieve this goal whilst ensuring the laws and spirit of the sport are kept at the forefront of all our decisions and that every member of our club always portrays and upholds the integrity of hockey both on and off the field.

We encourage an all-inclusive family ethos and pride ourselves on creating an outdoor, relaxed and enjoyable culture for our local community to support, enjoy and feel a part of. We would like to become the hockey club of choice for hockey players of all ages and abilities in KZN. This starts within our juniors section, where players from 5 – 13 develop a passion for hockey, which we strive to grow and nurture once they join our seniors section. Our club will offer our stronger players the platform to perform consistently at the top level and use our club as a springboard to achieve higher representative honours as well as offering the more social players the perfect outlet to enjoy the best of the benefits and camaraderie that club sport has to offer.

All practices are at the Northwood School astro. See below for practice days & times:
-Mondays: Men's 1st team squad (7-8.30pm) and Ladies' 1sts (7-8pm)
-Wednesdays: All men's teams, 3rds & 4ths (5.45-7.15pm), and 1st & 2nds (6.45-8.15pm)
-Thursdays: All ladies' teams, 3rds & 4ths (5.30-7pm) and 1st & 2nds (6.30-8pm)

Ladies matches are played on a Saturday afternoon, and men’s games on a Sunday, although you can enjoy watching our men’s first team over a cold beer on a Friday night too!
