Natal GSD Dog Club

The Natal GSD CLUB is a KUSA affiliated dog club specialising in obedience training for all breeds of dogs.
Training is held at Glenmore Primary School on Fielden Drive, Carrington Heights. Obedience training takes place on Saturday afternoon at 14h00 and classes run for approximately one hour.
Training for young puppies takes place in our Puppy Socialising Class at 13h00, progresses to Competition Training and Protection Work.

No dog is either too young or too old to begin training, however, proof of vaccination must be provided before training can commence.

The Club was formed in 1956. At that time it was called the Natal Alsatian Club. In 1978 this was changed, in line with the international recognition of the correct name of the German Shepherd Dog, to the Natal German Shepherd Dog Club. Our beginning was just a handful of dedicated enthusiasts with the aims of educating the public towards the correct type of GSD and assisting in the training of dogs. Over the years we have kept these ideals and held many shows for both breed and working classes.
