After completing matric in 1997, Mr. T.M Ntuli (founder of Mpumelelo Artisan Training Center) went to look for a job in Secunda and by that time getting a job without a trade was not easy, he then decided to enrol at Evander technical college doing electrical engineering together with instrumentation & control.
In 2002 he then got a job as a boiler maker assistant working for fluor Daniel, it is when he fell in love with the Artisan trade. To get trained as an artisan was very expensive, so he decided to save money till the year 2006 where he finally went to study further and became a qualified Boiler maker.
He then started to work as a Pipefitter in 2006 for the company called Grinaker LTA at Sasol Secunda. Between 2006 and 2013 he worked as a pipe fitter, foreman and eventually became a supervisor. He also worked outside South Africa in neighbouring countries like Zambia, Angola, Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia and Swaziland for different companies. After taking much consideration about his past and his wish to help people more especially the down trodden, he then decided to open a workshop where he is training Pipe fitters and Welders.
