Moore Racing

In 1988 Navi Stables was formed in Harare, Zimbabwe by Ivan Moore with the support of Mike and Carol Fewster. As a result of some early success the yard grew from a mere 6 horses to a thriving 60 horses. During the time Navi Stables was based in Zimbabwe, the yard secured much success and had the privilege of winning many feature races.

In 2002 Navi stables made the bold move to Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. With only 7 horses to start, the yard had to build up to its former glory and in 2011 enjoyed two winners on Vodacom Durban July Day.

In 2014, trainer Ivan Moore and his grandson, assistant trainer, Darryl Moore joined forces to form Moore Racing. With a focus on family, a passion for racing and many years of experience the yard makes its humble mark in the local South African horse racing scene.

The coming together of Mr Moore’s experience and Darryl’s youthful passion for racing is a recipe for success. The yard expects formidable growth in the coming years.
