Established in1997, Mighty Minds Montessori Preschool has a rich and long-serving heritage in the Durban community for almost 2 decades.

Our team of qualified teachers are passionate about education, with many years of experience between them.

Our teaching system has been developed by Dr Maria Montessori and is based on the philosophy that a student’s interest to intellectual activity is a natural part of development and can be stimulated through a creative teaching environment. A student will learn naturally when placed in an environment containing stimulating materials which serve as “learning games” suited to develop the child’s abilities and interests.

Our teachers act as a facilitators to the student’s learning providing nurturing support, guidance and direction. All subjects that are taught are done according to the strict Montessori standards regulated by the South African Montessori Association (SAMA).

Subjects include: Mathematics, Language, Practical Life, Sensorial, Culture and Sciences
