Midrand Lutheran Church

We are a Lutheran Church in Midrand, a growing congregation. We have fellowship and grow spiritually and personally in a functional and sustainable home which is open for all people.


1Corinthian 12.12f: "Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink."

We are children of God – we experience that God loves us unconditionally. In congregation I am accepted as I am. We embrace diversity and we accept our differences. We live Ubuntu: compassion, empathy, solidarity and responsibility we practise and rely on.


Roman 12.1 and 6-8: "Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. … We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully."

We are Lutherans by understanding and being able to explain why and what we are doing – in our services and in our congregational and personal life. We trust in the guidance of the Holy Spirit and we rely on the chance to repent, confess and correct our failures.


Matthew 26.28: "This is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins."
