Mbombela Today

Mbombela Today is platform for the City of Mbombela to engage with the public on matters pertaining to service delivery, municipal, services, development programmes and the financial performance of the municipality.

This effort seeks to address the perception that the municipality is not communicating with its residents on its development and growth. Mbombela Today is a monthly newsletter/advertorial available with all Lowveld media publications inside the Mpumalanga Mirror on a monthly basis and online via all social media platforms; facebook page, instagram, twitter and its website, www.mbombelatoday.com.

Mbombela, the Siswati word for "a lot of people together in a small space" aptly describes some of the areas of the City of Mbombela's area of jurisdiction in the Mpumalanga Province, South Africa.

The municipality came about through the amalgamation of previous local councils in December 2000. The local councils were Nelspruit TRC, White River TRC, White River TLC, Hazyview TLC and the Greater Nelspruit Area.

The Council and Administration of the new structure is committed to ensure growth and development of communities in a manner that enhances community participation and accountability.
