Maternity at Busamed Hillcrest Private Hospital

Furnished in soft , inviting tones, our maternity unit provides moms and their babies with the highest level of care and attention in an environment that promotes calm and tranquillity.

Private and Semi-private Suites, ensuite bathrooms, jacuzzi and spa bath for water births and pain control, secure nursery with large viewing window and other unique elements work together with experienced, compassionate midwifes and staff to create an calming, bonding environment for mom and baby. The safe, secure newborn nursery is situated within the unit and is access controlled .

We offer a variety of other services which together help to provide parents and baby with information and services that will help to ensure that the birth of your baby is a memorable experience. These include breast-feeding education, childbirth preparation education, midwife-attended delivery, physician attended delivery, free 4D Scans, free birth registration, unique hand crafted baby bag.

Dads are encouraged to share in the memorable and intimate experiences of a new baby which means moms get support and dads also share this special time with baby. We even have a double private suite so dad can stay.


A fully equipped Neonatal ICU adjacent to the nursery ensures special needs babies are given the specialised care they need.

Because we want to provide a comfortable safe and healing experience for mom and bay visiting is restricted and visitors are asked to abide by the visiting times.

Open visiting hours are from 15h00 to 16h00 and 19h00 – 20h00 daily . Visitors under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult and visitors are limited to 4 per patient. Other visitors are encouraged to wait in our comfortable pause areas .

Dads can stay all day but are asked to leave by 21h00 to allow moms to get the rest they need.

Grandparents and baby’s siblings cuddle time is between 11h00 and 12h00
