Cape Town Race Week is built upon a foundation laid by many great summer regattas before it. Building on legacy of events like Rothman’s Week, Crocs Regatta and the Summer Regatta, Maserati Cape Town Race Week, the organisers and Royal Cape Yacht Club believe that the opportunity is now to create an event that has a lasting impact on sailing in South Africa, but also to the community of Cape Town at large.

Cape Town plays host to some of the biggest sailing events in the world. The Volvo Ocean Race, The Vendeé Globe, the Clipper Race and has developed a great international reputation as a favoured stopover for events, teams and many of the world’s leading sailors. Maserati Cape Town Race Week strives to entice sailors and their families from around the country and the world to visit our great city and to participate in an excellent racing and social calendar.

It is our intention to build an event that every Capetonian is proud of, one that creates a meaningful contribution to the global reputation of Cape Town as a fantastic sailing destination. Our city is one of the most spectacular in the world and our sailing conditions are awesome, providing the perfect location for epic racing on the water, and just as epic parties back on land!
